A little over six months ago, TEN hit 100 members and I posted my thoughts on that milestone. It captured my feelings well, so I’ve featured that post since some of you (approximately 100) may have not read it:

In the last paragraph, after all of my “ephemeral” musings, I asked everyone to stick around, invite new members, and use use use the site. While I am a unobtrusive host (I won’t be asking you to find three people you don’t know and tell them your favorite movie), I am a regular reader of your posts and endlessly fascinated. I want TEN to continue growing so that is remains active so that I can visit and read and look and follow your links.
I’m still holding a spin-off transaction site (10 Merchant’s Lane) in my back pocket. I’ve hesitated because of time and philosophy. It appears the economy may provide me the time, but whether or not I can launch a social network that facilities selling and maintain an approach similar to TEN is an open question. It has to facilitate commerce but not generate real revenue so as not to compete with TEN members who make a living, or part of their living, in this way. Simply put, it would be a place for members of TEN to go when the conversation turns from love to money. I welcome your thoughts on this. Next stop, 300.
Cheers,
Mike Ferguson
