Big auction this week for pop culture and autograph collectors

This one's a little under the radar and I have a feeling promises some great bargains. I am friendly with the auctioneer, though I have a feeling a few of you probably know Walt "Auction Wally" Kolenda from his podcasts about antiques, collectibles and Bonanzle.

The auction he's calling is live in Orange MA this Wednesday and Thursday, May 27-28 (just noticed, deadline for online bidding is Tuesday May 26 at 10 pm EST), but online absentee bidding is available through AuctionZip (which is a new site to me and something else worth poking around with I think!). Here's a link to Day 1 including all of the terms.

It's mostly autographed material focusing heavily on movie stars, TV stars, and general pop culture from about the 1950's through 80's. While that's the focus the bulk of the lots are all over the 20th century. About 2,000 items condensed into nearly 900 lots with some interesting multiple item lots.

I did a post on my blog for Walt trying to point people to this last week and many of the details are there (including more about Auction Wally himself if you've yet to have the pleasure). Here are a few of the high spots excerpted from my earlier post:

There's a lot here I liked, figured some of you might like it too. So far prices look pretty good for the buyer, though I'm sure that could change during the live call.
