About Me:
I'm Jennifer (aka The Cookbook Maven) and I specialize in vintage cookbooks and food-related advertising ephemera. I love connecting with others who share a love for venerable old cookbooks, cook booklets and recipe leaflets. My personal favorites are the advertising cookbooks from the 1920s through the 1950s. It's fun to watch how cooking techniques and recipe formats change. Sometimes the narration itself is fascinating, full of commentary on the family structure and social norms of the time period. I love vintage advertising art - photography, lithography, line drawings - of product packages, happy housewives and fabulous (and sometimes funky) FOOD!

I have been selling to collectors since 2005 via eBay, Ruby Lane, Etsy and Bonanza. My current focus is my Cookbook Maven shop on Etsy. I manage the Vintage Cookbooks page on Facebook and as of this writing have just surpassed 1200 fans. It's a wonderful community of collectors, sellers, home cooks and professional chefs and we have fun discussing recipes, photos, time periods and just about any aspect of collecting. Please join us!
