They look like the little cards you'd find in little mini folders as travel souvenirs. They often recycle images used on postcards, but are not really postcards. No comment on rarity.

It kind of resemble this old 1898 Hawaii post card I got. It is said to be very rare. I have had it for years. I got in Canada back in 1971.
