Hi Jack, if you like to swap the deck of coin playing cards to my book, that's fine. My book was printed in 1000 copies and now only a small quantity (maybe 25) is left. I'm planning to print a second run. Please e-mail me your postal address on gejusvd@xs4all.nl and I will reply with my postal address.
Thanks.
Hi Jack,
Welcome on T.E.N.!
Thanks for your comment. I will reply on the group page. Of course I'm interested in your collection of early business/calling cards. Most of my cards are French. Since in France playing card backs have not been printed until 1860, secondary use in France was very common. In other countries, like the Netherlands, printing back patterns started before 1800.
I have written a 100 pages book about 40 extraordinary (in 2005) reused playing cards in my collection. The text is in four languages including English. If the Sodra book is still available do you want to swap?
Last September my wife and I were in the U.S. for vacation and the 52 Plus Joker convention in New Orleans. Driving from Jackson to Memphis we practically passed your place. If only we knew eachother then.
