My take on it is a game score card for long distance train travel. The Zephyr and Vista-Domes were, passenger trains that crossed small places like the Rockies. The Ship-Travel refers to a suggestion to both ship goods and travel on the Burlington...

What a tough question. I'm torn between the Jos. Harm Trade Catalog, c1910 that offers Dutch, French, English and US woodworking tools. Complete with translations of the name of each tool. This one catalog has proved to be a gold mine for informat...

I've a friend who is looking for either copies of, or to purchase some examples of early 19th C carpenters or joiners indenture papers, preferably British but US also. All I have is early 18th C. If anyone has any, or knows of any, please give me ...

Interest in Ephemera
Dealer/Collector, Curator/Archivist
About Me:
Specializing in the ephemera, photographs and books of early tools, trades, crafts and industries. As a librarian and archivist, I tend to bring my work ethics into my avocational pursuits. The end result is a blog and a website devoted to my favorite topic... ephemera and old tools.

My other avocation is ignoring the 30 odd boxes of books in the basement that really need to be sold to make room for more Stuff...

In addition to the main Toolemera site, there is also a blog from whence I may choose to inflict my opinions upon an unsuspecting world:

Widening the circle

Silly me. I was looking for the TEN blog and neglected to look down. Here it is. I just added a post over at my blog, extolling the virtues of The Ephemera Network (whilst inflicting my overblown prose on the unwary). While most of my readers are woodworkers, even they pick up a book, or a trade catalog or... gasp... even a billhead on occassion. With luck, some new blood will be brought into the fold

Hi Gejus... thanks for adding me. It would be best to drop the email list as that is actually a group list rather then mine own! I put my list on hold for a while during yet another site rebuild. Thanks

Hi Gary,
I started new Groups for dealers per theme and took the liberty of adding you to the Group Book dealers.
I hope that is o.k.
Please check the text and let me know if you want any changes.

My thanks for the invite. It's good to see a community of ephemerists assembling online. Amongst the tools and trades community, we have many blogs and forums within which to socialize, exchange stories, ask questions etc. etc. It's high time ephemerists became less ephemeral and more visible!
