Honestly, not much has been done on letterheads. I too would love to hear of anything! There has however been some work on bird's eye maps. Isn't breaking new ground exciting?

One thing you can do is search images at the Library of Congress. They often have archival scans of works available, and one can use them for all kinds of projects.
