I've been selling mine at Collectors' Quest, in the Marketplace (currently free -- no fees at all). Not scads of them, but I've sold more ephemera than anything else there (a few dolls and vintage squeaky toys too).

Really enjoyed reading this last night. Love learning about Frank's holography, and area of collecting which I'll readily admit complete ignorance to until meeting Frank! Thanks, Cliff

Interest in Ephemera
Collector, Dealer, Researcher, Author
About Me:
Deanna Dahlsad is an avid collector of many things but especially vintage magazines, “things pertaining to female history”, kitsch, and quite often, things she's never seen before that she can afford.

The only thing she loves more than collecting is talking writing. (Nearly anything but bios for herself.)

She is a staff writer at Collectors’ Quest (these are her columns and she is PopTart in the CQ Community). At Twolia she covers kitsch & pop culture "From A (Feminist) Chick’s Perspective" at Kitsch Slapped. She and her husband run Kitschy Kitschy Coo and, when they remember to list things for sale, sell at We Have Your Collectibles. With some gal pals she founded and participates in Pink Populace Paparazzi Parade Exposé. Dahlsad also publishes vintage home ec tips and projects at Things Your Grandmother Knew.

(Yes, Virginia, there are more blogs by Deanna; you can them via her profile at Blogger.)

Brag Box

Collectors News says, "Dahlsad is a touchstone of where women have been, what they wore, and how they carried themselves to get there. She is a historian of how powder puffs and nail polish have both ensnared and enshrined the image of womankind."

Hi Deanna. Thanks for the reply. I use holography-related ephemera with at-risk, urban youth as part of their orientation to lasers, photonics and optics technologies. It gives them a sense of the social and cultural history of the field, and works better than the usual "open your books to page 65". It is always well-received (along with a gallery of holograms) wherever I present. I just returned from Florida, where I use ephemera with Jacksonville area high school students (communication technologies).
