One page, 7" x 8.25", Houston, Texas, March 23, 1970, on NASA letterhead, to Edward E. Hannigan of the School of Modern Photography. It reads (in full): "Thank you very much for your kind letter of last November. I have received the achievement award plaque honoring the photography that we accomplished on the flight of Apollo XI. Needless to say, I am honored that you have bestowed this tribute upon us. Please convey our warm good wishes to all those at the School of Modern Photography and be assured that this plaque will hang with some of our other treasured mementoes." Signed: "Neil Armstrong". The letter was apparently glued down and there is some general, light bleedthrough, though not overly intrusive, otherwise very fine condition. Estimate $2000-3000. Included in Heritage Auctions’ Space Explorations Auction #6087, May 12, 2012, in Dallas.
