I am very interested in postcards from any of the World's Fairs or Expos.  I also collect postcards with these themes:

circus Disney Parks  carnivals  amusement parks  county fairs   drive-in movies  state fairs

Hi, I'm looking for any postcards, greeting cards, playing cards or prints by Jennie Harbour. I'd like to purchase or trade for any I don't already have in my collection. I'm collecting these to reproduce in a book I'm writing about the life of Jennie Harbour. She illusrated for Raphael Tuck & Sons, Valentine & Sons and A. Vivian Mansell. These are the three I know of so far. Can anyone help me out?

Ran across 6 Chiropractic Cards from I believe the 20s they fold and have advertising on one side for the Cortland Institute of Chiropractic on the other are photo's of the Panama canal being built. One has Elbert Hubbard on the back giving praise for the Chiropractic business. I can't find anything like them would there be interest? And has anyone ever seen these before?

Is anyone familiar with Cyanotype postcards?

   The cyanotype process was one of the first non-silver technologies used to create photographic images. Originated in the 1840's, it was not utilized in mainstream photography and was adopted as a copying technique, becoming known by the term "blueprint", with its blue background reproductions of large architectural and mechanical drawings. It was Anna Atkins who first brought this method to photography. Shown here is a British Cyanotype postcard of a boy holding flowers and wearing wooden shoes printed by the German firm of N.P.G. for E.J.Hey & Co., London. It is postmarked 1913.

Linen - Postcards published in the late 20s through 50s, using a textured paper with a cross hatched surface. These are antique, non-glossy postcards. The surface resembles linen fabric. The paper they are printed on tends to yellow somewhat with age. The cards romaticized the images of gas stations, diners, hotels and other commercial buildings. Using the photographic image of an establishment, all undesirable features, such as telephone poles, junk yards, background clutter, and sometimes even cars and people were removed by air brushing. Most of these cards were printed in the US by the Asheville Postcard Co. and can only be found in a smaller regular size.

They look like the little cards you'd find in little mini folders as travel souvenirs. They often recycle images used on postcards, but are not really postcards. No comment on rarity.

It kind of resemble this old 1898 Hawaii post card I got. It is said to be very rare.
I have had it for years. I got in Canada back in 1971.
