Knaffl and Bro, Knoxville Tenn. Black Americana Photo--Any Info?

 I'm looking for information about this large photograph stamped Knaffl and Bros., Knoxville Tennessee. I this believe image is considered a Black Americana photograph, which I don't know much about the genre and how prolific prints of this particular image could be. I have found one online a good bit smaller, but this one is approx. 16"x20".

 

Any idea of the date? I also wonder about the various names of the Knaffl studio, the brothers and how long in existence.
