Some lp's are valued for the covers only,a short list:

David Bowie-Diamond Dogs first state cover Human genitals on dog

Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet Dirty Toilet Gatefold

Early Blues and Jazz - Blue Note,Prestige,Savoy First State Covers on a $300 and Album in Mint condition can fetch $100 up by them self.

and of course the Beatles Butcher Cover,you can toss the record and fetch $500++ depending on the pressing.

My grandfather has lots of 60',70,80,records and 8 tracks is tere a market for the outside jacket/cardboard or does lp or 45 must be inside? Thankls!Susan

Mostly jazz album covers from the 60's and 70's.
