THE EPHEMERA NETWORK

A Community Site for Anyone and Everyone Interested in Ephemera

I closed my ebay store back when they first started raising their price on us "little guys" who helped build them. Since then I have opened my own website, Paper Moon, but am now wanting to return to a store format on on of the online malls. I think I have narrowed it down to two different ones. I am thinking about Ebay once again just because of the traffic the get but I am also quite interested in TIAS. If any of you have had positive or negative experiences on either I would appreciate the help in making my final decision.

I closed both my Ebay stores over two months ago and that was the best move I have ever made. I just list at auctions now.
I signed up at Etsy.com and do very well on that site. I use to sell On TIAS many years ago, but never seemed to do very well there.
I just signed up on a postcard site called Playle's, have not sold anything yet, but I find that till you have at least 500 items listed in any store site you do not make many sales. After reaching 500 mark I also try and list at least 10 items per day on each site to have my listing at the top of the search's.
I Have More Sales on Etsy then Ebay or Playle's. Ebay is so big my listings get lost. If I have HIGH END items--then ebay is the place I list--auctions only!! Lower end and common items I sell on Etsy at fixed price.

I haven't had an Ebay store or sold over there in a very long time. I just sell on my websites, however, I have seen a lot of sellers move over to Etsy. Tias, used to be pretty popular, but it seems I hear more about Etsy and they are selling vintage collectibles over there in spite of them being geared towards hand crafts. In fact lots of sellers sell vintage on Etsy. Funny most of my Twitter followers are Etsy sellers.
